Ian completed the Middle East swing on the European Tour , unfortunately just one made cut dropped him out of the top 50 so will miss the first WGC & will start his 2021 PGA tour season at the Arnold Palmer Invitational beginning of March .

Ian starts his 2020 season on the European Tour's Middle East swing

Ian starts his 2020 season on the European Tour's Middle East swing. First stop is the HSBC championship in Abu Dhabi , followed by the Omega Desert Classic in Dubai & finishing with the Saudi International. Looking for a fast start to earn qualifying points for this year's Ryder Cup team.

Ian has completed his 2020 season at the DP World Championship in Dubai

Ian has completed his 2020 season at the DP World Championship in Dubai, finishing 48th in the world rankings offers an invite back to the 2021 Masters which will be his 15th appearances. Ian will take a nice break for the holidays with the family and expects to start his 2021 season at the Middle East swing in January on the European Tour.

Ian just finished up his PGA 2020 schedule

Ian just finished up his PGA 2020 schedule at the RSM Classic & a T25 at the Masters the week before. Currently 46th in the world rankings, his last event of the season will be @dpworld race to Dubai final starting 10th December.

Ian had to pull out of the Houston Open

Unfortunately Ian had to pull out of the Houston Open this week as his back is still not 100%. He will do some light gym work & rest to be ready for the Masters next week. Very disappointing not to return to the city of his PGA victory but cannot afford to stress his back.

Ian completed a successful 2 weeks in Europe

Ian completed a successful 2 weeks in Europe with a 5th place at the BMW Championship & a T6 at the Scottish Open re-entering the top 50 in the world ranking & now standing 26th in the Race to Dubai on the European Tour. He is heading back across the pond for the Zoro championship & the CJ Cup.

Ian is in the UK for 2 events

Ian is back in the UK to play in the Scottish Open and in the BMW Championship at Wentworth these two weeks. After that he will return to the USA to kick off the new PGA season with the CJ Cup. The updated tournament schedule can be seen below on this page. 

End of season 2020

Ian finished his 2020 season after a disappointing week at the Northern Trust, ending 88th in the Fed-Ex standings. He will take a 3-week break and start the new wrap around season at the US Open in September.

Ian starts the 1st of the Fed-Еx play offs this week at the Northern Trust and next week follows the BMW Championship. Standing 85th in the Fed-Ex rankings, looking to continue the form that gave him a good finish at the PGA Championship.

Some really exciting events are on the PGA schedule for the forthcoming month and Ian is on their starting lists.

A week break after 3 PGA Tour events

Ian just finished the three PGA Tour competitions, finishing T20, T14 and 64th. He will now take a week break and then back out to Jack's place for 2 events being held in Ohio.

The PGA tour returns this week

The PGA tour returns this week, sadly without fans for now & Ian like the rest of the players is ready to start playing again & has committed to Charles Schwab this week in Texas & the RBC Hertiage in Hilton Head week after next. 

Filming new content during the Tours break

In the current situation with the PGA and European Tour events cancelled through April, Ian will be using this time to film some new content on and off the range to share with you all. In the meantime – everybody stay safe and be careful!

Teeing off in Florida Swing

Ian starts the Florida swing this week at The Honda Classic. This will be his first PGA Tour event on US soil since the 18th of August 2019. A great run of events coming up with Arnold Palmer Official, then The Players Championship the week after and the Dell Match play in Austin.  

2020 season kick off

Ian is starting off his 2020 season with 3 events on the European Tour playing the Middle East swing. Currently 45th in the World Ranking, he will play a total of 7 events through the middle of March. 


A record 800,000 USD raised for Dreamflight

Ian hosted his 6th golf charity event on the 8th and 9th December, raising a record 800,000 USD. A huge thank you to all of those that donated and those that provided amazing items to be auctioned and to the volunteers of Dreamflight for working hard to make it such a special event.  Merry Christmas to everyone! 

Before the last two events of the year

Ian finished his run of 3 events with a disappointing recurring injury to his hand during the WGC HSBC Champions. He flew home after the 2nd round to see the doctor and to have it fixed so that he can play in his last 2 events of the year. Ian is heading to South Africa for the Nedbank Challenge this weekend and finishing in Dubai with the DP World Championship.

Starting a run of 4 events

Ian’s Autumn schedule of four events starts with the Italian Open this week at Olgiata where he has great memories from 2002. Then he flies to Asia for the CJ Cup in Korea, ZoZo in Japan and the WGC in Shanghai China.

Ian ends 2019 PGA Tour season

Ian finished his 2019 PGA Tour season ranked 41st in the Fed-Ex Cup, disappointed not to make the top 30 and thus missing East Lake this week. Now he has 4 weeks off to recharge and then heading over to the UK for the BMW Championship at Wentworth late September, followed by a big run in Asia and the Middle East starting mid-October.

Fed-Ex Cup Play-Offs

Ian just finished his 4-week run – 3 weeks in Europe and the WGC Fed-Ex in Memphis where he ranked 8th, currently 58th in the Fed-Ex Cup. A week off in the UK and then back to the USA for the 1st of the Play-Offs at the Northern Trust in NY. Next comes the BMW Championship at Medinah in Chicago, famous for his Ryder Cup performance in 2012.

Ian's July schedule of events

Ian is starting a run of 4 weeks – tees off in the Irish Open this week, followed by the Scottish Open and The Open and then flying back over to the USA for the WGC Fed-Ex in Memphis. Lots of world ranking points available for looking to make a move after a poor run of events.

Ian tees off in the US Open

Ian flew to Pebble Beach CA for the 119th US Open this week. Currently 33rd in the World Rankings, looking for a good week after the disappointment of the last 2 tournaments.

Ian’s summer schedule

After finishing a 3-week run at the Zurich Classic, Ian has a big summer coming up starting with the PGA championship, 3 weeks in Europe after the US Open and then the WGC followed by the Fedex Cup play offs in August.

T12 at the Masters

After a T12 at the US Masters which automatically qualifies Ian for the 2020 Masters (will be his 15th appearance), this week he is playing the RBC Hertiage at Hilton Head and the following week - the Zurich Classic at New Orleans with Sam Horsfield.

Next run of golf events

Ian prepares his next run of events at the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard this week. After a hot run of top 10 finishes in his last 4 events will be looking to continue the rich run of form. Coach Pete Cowen flew over from the UK to spend some time with Ian in Lake Nona this weekend working on his swing.

A successful 3 weeks trip for Ian

Ian Poulter had a very good start of 2019 in the Middle East – on the Desert Swing of the European Tour. Abu Dhabi HSBC T6, T3 at Omega Dubai Desert Classic and T6 at the Saudi International capped off an exhausting but worthwhile 5 weeks golf. Back home to Orlando for a week, skiing with the family, a further week to re-charge the batteries and then off to the first WGC in Mexico.

Ian starts his Middle East tour with a top 6 finish

After travelling 34 hours and some 12,000 miles Ian recorded a top 6 finish at the HSBC Championship in Abu Dhabi. Quite remarkable! This week he is teeing off in the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.

Ian starts off 2019 with a globe-trotting 5-week run!

Starting in Kapalua for the Sentry Tournament of Champions and the Sony Open in Hawaii, he will then fly half way across the world. He opens up his European Tour schedule with the HSBC Championship in Abu Dhabi, the Dubai Desert Classic and finishing with the Saudi International in the beginning of February.

Record Charity Event December 2018

Quoting Ian after an amazing event: 'I was humbled by the amount raised from our guests and sponsors at my 5th charity classic – 675k USD after expenses, a record! Thank you all for making dreams come true for more children.'

Winter break

Ian has now put his clubs away for the rest of the year after a T8 representing England in the World Cup of Golf in Melbourne, Australia, with Tyrrell Hatton. In the Official World Golf Ranking Ian finished 39th up from 54th at the start of the year. His next start with be in early January 2019 at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Maui and the Sony Open in Hawaii the following week.

DP World Tour Championship Dubai, Nov 15th-18th World Cup of Golf Melbourne Australia, Nov 21st-25th. Then he will take a long break and start January 2019 in Hawaii at the Sentry Tournament of Champions and the Sony Open.

Ian is playing in Korea and China

Ian starts his 2019 PGA Tour schedule in South Korea this week with the CJ Cup and then onto the WGC HSBC Champions in China, standing 35th in the World Ranking Points. Due to the schedule he will miss the www.dreamflight.org trip to Disney World this week in Orlando, wishing them the best for the most amazing week of their life.

Postman Poulter delivers again

Nicknamed the 'Postman' as he always delivers, Ian beat world No.1 Dustin Johnson in the singles on Sunday. Thus, he delivered 2 out of possible 4 points for the European team’s Ryder Cup 17.5 - 10.5 win against the team of the USA.

Ian announced as one of Thomas Bjorn wild card picks

Making his 6th appearance for Europe and with a 12-4-2 record, Ian holds the highest Ryder Cup winning percentage for players with over five matches.

Ian moves up to 10th in the Ryder Cup World Points

After a T10 at the WGC this weekend and a T12 at the Canadian Open the previous week, Ian has now moved up to 10th in the Ryder Cup World Points standing. This is just 5.23 pts behind Paul Casey in 8th and an automatic place in the team. The last Major of the year – the PGA Championship this week, will offer a further opportunity to make that automatic spot.
